Hidden Image
Can you find the hidden image? In this we took a busy photo with a lot going on and tried to hide another image in it. Not too much photoshoppy stuff going on, most just selecting parts of the main image and deleting them from the hidden on to create depth. I also used to dodge and burn tools a little bit to make it more hidden.
Color Wheel 2
In this project I took an image I had already made (a pokemon hybrid) and made it into several images with different colors. The tool most used here was the magic wand. To make the copies I would select the area around the image, choose select inverse, and then use the 'create new layer via cut' over another image. I used a variety of different images of different colors that I thought would make cool patterns. This technique is really useful in a lot of stuff in digital imaging.

Inside/Out
This project is called Inside/Out, I took a picture of myself and made it look roboty. The main thing i did was too robot head and aligned them to my own face. Then, using the eraser tool with about 50% opacity and a soft round brush head, erased my own face exposing the robot beneath. The smooth erasing makes it look much more realistic than regular erasing. The eyes were simply deleted and replaced, then shaded using the burn tool to stand out less.

Fairy Dust Tutorial
This was made using a stock image and the brush tool. While I may never need to use this custom "Fairy Dust" tool ever again, it did show a lot about creating custom brushes which was helpful. Some of the major points it touched on was creating custom brushes, and advanced modification of them.

Chairs
In this project we were supposed to make realistic looking chairs out of multiple images. For the top one i just used space pictures, and the bottom one contains all pictures from the artist Drakxx. My inspiration was simply liking the images i used. The images were made primarily using the warp feature, along with liquify and dodge/burn for shadows.

Filtered Self-Portrait
For this project we took a photo of ourselves and altered it 9 different ways. I wanted mine to have some sort of color balance as well as bright colors. The filters i used generally made them less realistic and look more painted or hand-drawn, which i like. My favorite square is thebottom left one because the shading gives it a painted look.
Holiday Card
Happy Holiday Card! From the Moon! If i was on the moon i would send all kinds of postcards like this. Being on the moon would be so fun. Sort of lonely, but at least he has that alien to keep him company. This is a bizarre twist on a regular holiday card
Marla Abstract Painting
This is an abstract painting inspired by the movie "My Kid Could do That" about a four year old abstract painter. I took some colors i really like and messed around with the paint tool, making a swirly flowly kind of design.
Art Inspiration
Much like the other art inspiration one, i like this one because of color and shape. Those are the most two important things in an image. As long as it looks good to me i like it regardless of the actual content. Maybe I am just easy to please but i love abstract paintings like this.
Visual Puns
This assignment was to create four visual puns. The four i chose were deviled eggs, hotdog, birdhouse, and apple pie. I pretty much just chose the first four that came to my head. I didn't like this project as much because i like the ones that are more artistically focused, rather than jokes. Not that i hated this assignment, it was still fun to do.
Kaleidoscope
This is a kaleidoscope image of a wine glass done from a tutorial found on youtube. I feel like this tutorial wasn't the best because it didn't really turn out well. I like how the colors overlap though.

Mid-Term Project
The Midterm assignment was to take 24+ images and put them on a 7x5 grid. We used a different tool to alter each image to show our understanding of photoshop tools. My approach was throwing all the projects i've already done onto it, to make a collage of what i have done this year. I didn't have enough however, so some are just images from the internet. i arranged them mostly randomly, although i did have the background paint splatter in mind. I am very pleased with it. It would be cool to have a large printout and see all the different images.

Artists that Inspire
For some reason I have always loves clouds, and that is what caught my eye at first in this image. I also like the use of the colors green and yellow. I have found that my favorite works of art are more determined by color and shape than actual content.
